Fees

Clinical Psychology appointments are 50 minutes duration. The standard fee for a 50 minute appointment is $250 which is payable at the conclusion of the appointment. Every effort is made to keep fees under the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee for Clinical Psychology which is currently $330. A rebate may be applicable as detailed below. In cases of financial hardship, concessional rates may be accessed. Please discuss this at the time of booking the first appointment to determine eligibility. Please note that 48 hours is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without incurring a late cancellation fee.

Available rebates

  • Medicare Mental Health Care Plan

    Referrals from a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist under a Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for a $145.25 Medicare rebate for up to 10 appointments in a calendar year.

  • Pregnancy Support Counselling

    Referrals from a General Pracitoner under the Medicare Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Services Counselling, are eligible for a rebate of $72.55 for up to three appointments.

  • Private Health Insurance

    Claims can be made with private health insurance providing coverage for Clincal Psychology is included. Please check this with your private health fund for more information.

  • Insurance Commission of WA

    Active injury claims with prior approval for Clinical Psychology services are accepted. The paid appointment cost may be reimbursed or alternatively ICWA can be invoiced directly.

  • Department of Veterans Affairs

    Both gold and white cards are accepted provided the mental health condition has been approved for treatment and a referral from a General Pracitioner is provided.
